So I’ve been doing a lot more placement tests and settling in and generally just orientation stuff. The practice studios have been difficult to get, mainly because they are doing work on 2 of the 3 organs, which means that only 1 is usually available for practice. Other than that, I didn’t place into accelerated theory: which is a disappointment
It means one more year of theory! Chorus and keyboard placements were pretty okay.
I’m really disappointed that I’m going to have to drop a Great Books course that I really wanted to take. I’ll be taking intro to Non-Fiction and Fiction Writing instead. Also, I will be taking harpsichord as a minor, either 1/2 hour or 1 hour: I also haven’t decided, it looks like I shall have to pay extra.
Some trivial: I realize that my mailbox no is 007, and my mobile no ends with 007! lol. Looks like I have a career as a secret agent ahead of me.
Heading over to Homewood now!
Kyrie eleison.
Okay I’ve arrived! And this is short. Everything has been really hectic, I’ve been doing lots of shopping (which is lots of fun! but also really tiring and exhausting). Settling in has been great: my dorm room is oldish looking but a lot bigger than I expected so whoopee!
Sunday I went with the parents to Washington National Cathedral which was nice, even though there was no choir and service was pretty low church. Amazingly, I got selected to carry the food basket! Lol.
Kyrie eleison.
